Urban Rider’s striking e-commerce site goes live

Green Jersey has just launched a striking e-commerce website for streetbike and scooter “boutique” Urban Rider. The new site takes a completely different design approach to other motorbike online stores, which tend to use traditional, male-oriented design.
Urban Rider’s site appeals to men and women with a taste for style and quality, and is packed with design details and innovative functionality. The website is based upon highly customised Actinic software, like most of our e-commerce sites, and several of its features have never been used within an Actinic site before:-
- multiple, dynamic product images
- integrated mouse-over zoom of all product images
- high quality streaming video illustrates products
- tabbed product description and specification
- product specifications automatically produced from custom variables
- other products suggested on each individual product page
- shop by brand as well as by product type
- streaming video “how to” guides
- integrated live London traffic news
- integrated live London weather conditions and forecast
- dynamic photo gallery
- integrated Google Maps
Our designer also directed and took all the striking lifestyle photographs used to illustrate the website. Urban Rider not only uses Actinic’s e-commerce software but also uses Actinic’s EPOS system to operate the tills within the physical shop. We have plenty of other exciting plans on the drawing board already, working towards establishing Urban Rider as an online market leader.
