Our flagship Actinic e-commerce website, designed and built for Plain Lazy, the market-leading lifestyle clothing company, has just gone live.
We've been working closely with Plain Lazy since the middle of 2007. At the end of October we launched an interim, spruced-up Actinic e-commerce website so that Plain Lazy could capitalise upon pre-Christmas trade and offer a January sale.
While we were working on the interim site we also started a project to produce an extensive, all-new website to be Plain Lazy's overall primary web presence. It's our most ambitious Actinic
website yet, and one of the most heavily customised and comprehensive
Actinic sites on the web.
From the outset it was clear that Green Jersey and Plain Lazy would form a great partnership. Although this has been our most challenging e-commerce project yet from a design perspective and a technical perspective too, it's also been amongst the most creative and fun work that we've had.
The site is packed with
features such as:-
- integrated RSS newsfeeds
- Adobe Flash animation and
entertainment
- high quality product photography and lifestyle imagery
- an extensive product catalogue
- discount vouchers and sophisticated product offers
- document downloads
- integrated YouTube videos
- links to clothing designer
pages from products
- related products
- dynamic multiple product images
- a custom checkout progress bar
- dynamic Google Maps showing Plain Lazy's shops
- Google Analytics to track the site's usage
- pages for each of Plain Lazy's sponsored team members
- custom forms for mailing list sign-up etc.
- competitions
- and plenty more besides...
We also set up a public blog for Plain Lazy's news that is integrated with the Actinic site, and two further private blogs for press information and for Plain Lazy's designers.
Plain Lazy is a very creative business so we'll be adding more features
and content to the site very soon. And we're looking forward to working
on other exciting online projects with our new partner soon too.
Visit the new site at www.plainlazy.com. If you'd like to know more about the project, or if you might like a similar site for your own business, just get in touch.
