Appliance House is a new retailer of kitchen appliances and related equipment. We created the logo & branding for the new business before producing the website itself, which has SellerDeck (previously known as Actinic) e-commerce software at its heart.

Everything about the new site is intended to help it compete strongly with the largest of retailers, to give shoppers confidence in the quality of the Appliance House brand and its products.

There’s particular emphasis on the presentation of products themselves, extending SellerDeck’s database to hold a huge number of product specification variables, and writing code to display them in the most helpful way to customers.

The Appliance House project is one of our most comprehensive SellerDeck online stores, with features such as:-

  • Extensive product specifications and very large product catalogue
  • “Sort by” price, brand, or energy rating
  • Customer “price challenge” feature
  • Shop by brand or by product type
  • High-quality zoom of all product images
  • Multiple, dynamic product images
  • Related products suggested on each individual product page
  • “Was / now” pricing
  • Extensive special offers
  • “Accordion” effect to simplify lengthy pages
  • Extensive illustrated reference material for customers

“We first embarked on commissioning a new e-commerce site back in August and Green Jersey quickly stood out from the crowd. Having had several meetings and quotes from other web design agencies, no other company really grasped the scale or concept required to achieve our ambitious plans.

Green Jersey was by far the most structured, organised and professional of the web design companies we had asked to tender for the work; this resulted in a much greater level of confidence and ultimately won them our business. We could have had a website created for less, but with the benefit of hindsight I’m thankful that we chose the right company from day one, as I know the cheaper quotes would have spiralled in cost to achieve anything like what we have today.

Every step along the way from brief to launch had been well thought out, a considered approach that clearly came from experience. The constant emails, telephone updates and screen shots were very reassuring, especially when face to face meetings weren’t practical. We worked very closely with the team over the design, layout and site structure; they were always very co-operative and forthcoming with innovative ideas. Project deadlines were always adhered to, and even when our own timescales slipped due to a lack of man-hours at times, Green Jersey was happy to work at our pace and finish projects once we had completed our own tasks.

There was a great deal of handholding, especially at the crucial stages such as the launch day, and although the site had been comprehensively tested it was reassuring to know someone was there to iron out any last minute issues. Since going live our business partnership has strengthened and it’s fantastic to know experts are on hand to discuss site improvements, the latest trends, new technology and even assist with day-to-day maintenance. We have further long-term ambitions for our website and we’ll definitely be choosing to work closely with Green Jersey in the future.”
